The Coast And Castles is a 200 mile cycle route down the coast from Edinburgh to Tynemouth. With only one major climb in the Moorfoot Hills, the route travels south from Edinburgh to Innerleithen, before turning east and heading to the coast, crossing the border into England near Norham and reaching Berwick shortly afterward. From Berwick, the route follows coastal routes past various castles to Tynemouth then into Newcastle.
